Lights, Camera, Action is a team of pupil film-makers who’ve joined together to make a short film about life at Canford.
The film aims to capture the “Spirit” of the place and the end production will be shown on Speech Day. The film consists of interviews and documentary style narrative.
To help the pupils on their endeavour towards making a brilliant film that captures a difficult concept is the almost legendary Will Fraser, professional film-maker and producer. Will has turned from his busy lifestyle to come to us here at Canford and help the pupils create a moving masterpiece! Will has been involved in a number of TV series and has even produced projects.
The group consists of 9 students from different year groups and are working as a team to achieve an ultimate goal that’ll help their team-working skills and their organisational skills as well as their basic film-making skills.
On top of all this, the pupils also have the help of our very own Mr Vandervick, who has given short talks on film to the Lower 6th Form in their General Studies Sessions and has some helpful knowledge on the subject.
